These terms cover the Doozy app and this website. The plain-English summary of how we handle your data lives on the Privacy Policy page — it's the better read, and it's binding behavior we've committed to publicly.

Pre-launch note: the legal text below is a structural placeholder. The final terms of service is under review by counsel familiar with COPPA and will replace it before launch.

1. The service

Doozy is a household chore-gamification app for iOS: kids spin a wheel for a random chore, prove it with a photo, and spin again for a prize a parent has defined. The service is operated by Doozy ("we", "us") and includes the app and the website meetdoozy.com.

2. Accounts and roles

The account holder is the parent. Kids are profiles within your household — not account holders, with no email, no password, and no credentials of their own. Kids' devices join the household with a short pairing code issued from the parent's device, and an optional household PIN can gate the app on a shared device. You can revoke any paired device at any time.

3. Subscriptions and purchases

The Family plan is billed by Apple at $4.99/month, $29.99/year, or $79.99 for a lifetime purchase. Cancellation is managed through your Apple ID settings, and refunds follow Apple's policies — we never see or store your payment details. Founding-families offer terms (a free first year) are honored in full for everyone who claimed them.

Every kid gets everything on the free plan. A subscription buys access for the household — never anything for a child inside the game (see section 4).

4. The game has no purchasable outcomes

Nothing purchasable affects the game. Spins, re-rolls, prizes, odds, and streaks cannot be bought, sold, or transferred — access to the app is the only thing for sale. Prizes are promises between parent and child, defined and delivered by you; they are not deliverables by Doozy, and Doozy has no obligation to supply, fulfill, or arbitrate them.

5. Acceptable use

Doozy is for household use. Don't scrape the service, resell access, or misuse it in any way that interferes with other households. Parents are responsible for their household's use of the service, including the devices they pair.

6. Content

The chores, prizes, and photos you create are yours. You grant us only the rights needed to operate the service: to store them, to display them back to your own household, and to delete them on schedule. Proof photos are never used for anything else and are automatically deleted 7 days after an approve or reject decision, as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Doozy name, the wheel mark, the avatars, and the illustrations are ours. These terms give you a license to use the app — not to reuse its brand or artwork.

8. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Doozy is a chore game, not a parenting service: no outcomes — behavioral, educational, or otherwise — are promised or guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim.

9. Termination

You can stop using Doozy at any time by deleting your household — that ends everything, completely, including any remaining photos. We may suspend a household for abuse of the service.

These terms are dated and revised in the open. Material changes are announced in the app to parents before they take effect.
