FAQ

Fair questions. Blunt answers.

The things parents actually ask before handing a chore app to their kids. If your question isn't here, send us a message via the contact form — a person answers.

The kids

What ages is Doozy for?

Roughly 4 to 14. Chores are tagged by age, and you control which chores each kid can be assigned. A four-year-old's wheel looks very different from a twelve-year-old's.

Does my kid need their own phone?

No. Doozy works fine on one shared device — you hand it over in kid mode, and they spin from there. If a kid does have their own device, you pair it with a code from yours.

Do kids need an email or an account?

No — and they can't have one. Kids are profiles you create inside your household. We collect nothing from them: no email, no birthday, no location.

The game

What happens to the proof photos?

Encrypted on your family's device before they're ever stored, readable only inside your household's app, and automatically deleted within one hour of your approve-or-reject decision. They're stored with Apple, never in a Doozy database, there's no archive, and they're never used for anything else.

What if my kid gets a chore they hate?

They get two re-rolls a week. The chore goes back in the pool — and yes, it can come right back; the wheel has no memory and no mercy. You can also reassign or cancel any chore yourself.

Can my kid pick their own chore?

No, and that's on purpose. The randomness is what removes the argument. Kids can negotiate with you; they can't negotiate with a wheel.

What if I have more than one kid?

Every kid is guaranteed their own chores each day. Once everyone's covered, the leftovers go into a shared pool, first come, first served. Guaranteed minimums, voluntary overtime.

What are the prizes?

Whatever you decide — extra screen time, picking dinner, an ice cream trip. You set them, the wheel hands them out, and you mark them as given. Doozy never sells anything to your child.

The practical stuff

Can I buy extra spins or prizes?

No. Nothing you can pay for affects the game. We sell access to the app, never outcomes.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. iOS first. (If you only remember one answer on this page, make it the photos one above.)

How do I cancel?

Through your Apple ID subscription settings, any time — the same place you cancel everything else. No retention flow, no "are you sure?" maze.

Didn't find it?
